Darline "Dottie" Sanders Personal Papers
Darline "Dottie" Sanders was born in 1918 in Buffalo, NY, and lived Lemon Grove, CA. She earned her private pilot license on May 1, 1949. She and her husband owned a two-place Cessna, Model 140A, 1950 model. She became a member of the San Diego chapter of "The Ninety-Nines" in 1949 and served as secretary, vice-chairman, and chairman of that chapter. In 1961 she formed, and was the first chairman of, the El Cajon Valley Chapter of 99s.

Helen Shropshire obtained her private pilot's license from Artie Clay in Monterey, California in 1956. She would become a member of the 99s and compete in the Powder Puff Derby.
Onita Thorley Topping Personal Papers
Onita Thorley Topping, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert A. Thorley of Cedar City, UT, was a popular and noted pilot of the 1930s. She learned to fly at the Von Hoffman School of Aviation at Lambert Field in St. Louis, MO. Onita earned her pilot’s license in 1930, her commercial rating in 1931, and subsequently secured a rating as Master Mechanic.
Women of Flight Special Collection
This collection consists of several donations made in 1981 for the Women of Aviation Exhibit at the San Diego Aerospace Museum. It has been added to over the past few decades. It documents the history of women in aviation and includes much information in the Ninety Nines.
