This collection contains personal material relating to the career of Maj. George Hallett. Hallett was an engineer who worked with Glenn Curtis on early airplanes in San Diego. He was in the Army Air Service during World War I. After the war he worked in the General Motors Research Lab and later as a consultant for Consolidated Aircraft.
Descriptive Finding Guide for the Walter B. Havekorst II Photo Collection
The collection contains photographs and some ephemera from Walter B. Havekorst and is mostly of Rockwell Field dating back to 1918. Havekorst was assigned to Rockwell Field for his primary flight training and these photographs highlight the typical day-to-day activities of a young aviator in flight training.

James Stephen Krull (2/14/1889 - 1/21/1978) enlisted in the aviation section of the Signal Corps on July 25, 1914, and was assigned to the Army Flying School at North Island, Coronado, California.

The collection contains 92 manuscripts, written/compiled between the early twentieth century and early twenty-first century. These manuscripts range from television and movie scripts to flight logs, accident report, personal recollections, and biographies/memoirs. Subjects include (but are not limited to) early flight, World War I, World War II, women avioators, air ships, and flight testing.

VP-13 Patrol Squadron Special Collection
The VP-13 was a Tactical Training Squadron featuring aircraft such as the Consolidated PB2Y (various models). Of particular importance in this collection is the XPB2Y-1 Coronado known as “Blue Goose.” Originally designed as a patrol bomber, PB2Ys were eventually used as transport and hospital craft due to their large capacity and comparatively spacious fuselage.
