VP-13 Patrol Squadron Special Collection
The VP-13 was a Tactical Training Squadron featuring aircraft such as the Consolidated PB2Y (various models). Of particular importance in this collection is the XPB2Y-1 Coronado known as “Blue Goose.” Originally designed as a patrol bomber, PB2Ys were eventually used as transport and hospital craft due to their large capacity and comparatively spacious fuselage.

Pearl Harbor Attack Dispatches Special Collection

Major Oscar Perdomo flew a P-47 Thunderbolt with the 464th fighter squadron, 507th fighter Group USAAF in the Pacific Theater, where he became the last “Ace in a Day” of WWII.

After his service, he was a commercial pilot for Western, Aircal and American Airlines. He is also a practicing attorney.
