Richard C. Dietz was born on September 14, 1929 in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. From 1948 through 1952, Mr. Dietz attended the U.S. Naval Academy. He was a U.S. Navy aviator during his military career, from 1954 through 1974. From 1974 to 1976, he was a student at San Diego State University, majoring in Public Administration. From 1976 to 1978 he was Assistant Science Advisor to the City and County of San Diego on a National Science Administration grant. From 1979 to 2004, he was a Budget Analyst for the County of San Diego. From 1976 through 2006, he served as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Aerospace Hall of Fame, and the San Diego Air and Space Museum.

Description: This collection consists of one 15.75 x 12.5 x 10.5” and one 12.5 x 10.5 x 5” boxes. There are approximately 2,400 photographic prints and 1,200 slides. The collection has been organized into series.
